Curriculum Vitae
I joined the Sachse Lab in June 2020 as a research engineer for user support, method development and maintenance of EM equipment.
I obtained a PhD in structural biology at the Helmholtz Center for infection research Braunschweig. In the Heinz lab, I worked on bacterial secretion and bacterial toxins of Yersinia. The next step of my career led me to the Persson lab, Umeå university Sweden, where I continued to work on bacterial adhesion using X-ray structural biology. Within this project, I shifted my interest to EM, which led to a research engineer position at the national Umeå core facility for electron microscopy (UCEM) supporting users in EM sample preparations (cryo and negative staining), single particle and tomography data collection / interpretation and maintaining the equipment.
